Default Thoughts on Poor Economy

Just to continue a pointless thread

I just got back tonight from a Canberra-Sydney trip and did 470km on a tank and the fuel light still handn't come on! OK I cheated and filled the tank to the neck as an economy test...it took 67 litres to fill from about 1/5 on a tank left to the brim of the neck again so that's 14.25l/100k at a brisk highway pace ;) on regular ulp, 33s, 4.56, aircon, a slightly overcast sky, and the stereo volume on about 24 :D

i run a pod style K&N filter (outside the box on the end of standard hose) for street use and have previosly runa K&N in the box on the standard box systema nd now 4wding run a modified box with 80mm hose coming off it to the back of the bloack on top of the drivers side battery plate and i can tell you the pod style filter is the best performing and best for fuel economy when running at normal rates.
the pod filter revs louder and does make a huge increase to performnace compared to other methods

example - just tonight on my way to a mtes house i took on another standard wrangler on forest rd bexely and kicked his arse (just oiled and cleaned the filter last night) and im running 30inch tyres compared to standard - i surprise myself that a filter can make that much difference

-Air Filter Bypass Kit-
Many people replace air filters with high-flow versions for an extra few horsepower. We here at KaleCo have devised a much more efficient and more intelligent way of doing things. Pick up our air filter bypass kit and enjoy a nearly a free 15 horse power! Bypass that power-robbing and pesky air filter today, for much less than one of those "performance" air filters! Kit comes with everything you need to remove the air filter on most cars. KaleCo not responsible for mechanical failure after installing bypass kit. That's a pure coincidence. Kit can be used as many times as desired. Not for use on domestic cars, or cars using an exhaust tip less than a three inch diameter.

Doesn't matter. I can out-run other 4wd's so i can stop and fill up and have a cup of coffee before they catch up.
