Clarky. Where did you obtain the un-flashed FDCM from?

I searched eBay (Australia) for Grand's & Commanders that were being wreaked, sent them a message asking how long they had the jeep for or if they new when it was damaged/written off. If you search for "FDCM" you won't find anything in Oz.
I took a punt on one that an Adelaide wreaker had, written off in late 2012.
like these (as long as they are QDII)

If you can get the VIN off them you can check if the update has been done also.

Think you're right from my recollection it is:
2005 to 2008 #25 and part way through 2008 to 2010 changed to #33

thanks guys, Fuse 33 it was..
Tried two ways, not moving the car, starting, changed into gear, then re-testing = Fail.
Second time, moving the car backward and forward (max 1mtr), success.
Regards
Honda.

No N23 service bulletin released in Australia!
I have lived with the N23 gremlin since the day of the recall a year ago. I have recovered with the fuse trick many times. The other day I read on this forum that the latest service bulletin fixes the problem. I had to go through Pt Augusta today, so I called the service team at Emanuele Bros and asked for the latest re-flash. The service manager expressed his disrespect for forums in general but agreed to investigate the matter. When I arrived he said that after many phone calls on the subject he had determined there have never been bulletin updates released in Australia related to the N23 recall. He committed to contact me when it occurs. The service attendant assured me mine is the first example of the problem the dealership has seen. This response is hard to credit when forums across the globe attest to the proliferation of the problem and the consistency in this response from Jeep dealers. It is also hard to credit that the Chrysler Service Bulletin 21-022-14 REV. A, dated July 29, 2014 in my possession was never released in Australia. I imagine Chrysler Group LLC would be honest with their dealers. Is this deliberate evasion of the issue or an ineptitude organisation? The final insult was a Chrysler directive that nothing may be attached to the vehicle key because I might switch it off with my knee! As a grown adult I am apparently not sufficiently responsible to do my own hazard assessment and manage my own safety. This is the Nanny State gone mad! Unfortunately the vehicle I had in mind as a simpler and more dependable replacement for the Jeep must now be discounted as it is sold by the same dealership network.
