Hey FT would you mind uploading a pic from the direct rear, looking straight on? I love the carrier I just cant find too many pics of how it looks with a 35 in it

AEV rear bars have a very solid tube that fixes to the chassis directly and provides a massive improvement in departure angle. This tube is the point of contact if you drop off an obstacle and prevents damage to the corner sheet metal. It also bears the contact strike and protects the water tanks. These tanks will flex, distort if needed so its not a realistic concern IMHO. I don't recall any reports on AEV forum of damaged water tanks due to off roading.
