I'm looking at the brochure and the ORAP includes Quadradrive 2. How does that differ from the standard system?
It acts as a locker, when it detects slip it will engage the clutch and lock it up. Depending on what setting you are in, it will hold it locked for a certain period.

QuadradtracII is center diff lock with open front and rear axles, it uses brake force locking to prevent wheels from spinning. There have been videos of rigs with QT2 doing quite well offroad. QD2 just adds the rear ELSD. I like it, especially on sand.

I came from a Landcruiser100, and the Grand Cherokee is better on the low traction stuff, like sand and mud. Approach isn't so good, but a bullbar will help there.

I have Cooper STMaxx 275/65R18s on it, they are 32inch.

Thanks for that! I thought it would be someone different, like in the JK Wranglers having Command Trac in the Sport and Rock Trac in the Rubi.

I have been on Fraser, Moreton and Bribie Islands and done red runs in 4x4 parks without the QDII and had no issue. Never been bogged in the sand and was surpised at the park trails she got up and down.

Only bit of kit I wish i got were a set of STMaxx or similar 50:50 style tire rather then the less aggressive set i currently run.

2011 Ltd Crd, Uneek bar & plate, Murch lift, Mopar sliders & plates. Murch snorkle on order.

Default Grand Must Have's- Help needed

275/65R18 is the most you can go, but some have used spacers to get up to 70 profile tyres.

Spare tyre well can cause problems.

G'day all
Has anyone weighed their grand after all the attachments. I did and got a bit of a shock ,I have the 2011 diesel with quadra lift ,mopar towbar,uneek4x4 -Bull Bar, runva 9500 winch and bash plate - rear bar with tyre carrier and jerry can holder, long range automotive 70 lt aux fuel tank, tradesman aluminium roof rack and mopar under body protection gvm of vehicle with full tanks passengers and all equipment is 2949 kg . I put mine over the weigh bridge the other day with full tanks and jerry can of water and myself the lot weighed in at 2850 not much room left for packing or another person . I was curious to see what it weighed empty so to speak as I weighed it when I came home from my recent Simpson Desert and Flinders Ranges trip with rooftop tent ,80lt waeco fridge , set of draws with tools/spares and recovery equip and food ,clothing and cooking equip and an extra spare wheel and tyre it was 3470 kg. oops! Had no real issues with car on trip covered 7000 k's in 4 weeks did big red three times averaged 16lt/100 across the desert and 11.4 for the whole trip . Only felt like I was getting a little suspension fade nearing the end of the day in the desert. I would suggest to anyone to check the weight of your vehicle and know the weight of all your additions
thanks for your time
