I agree with these guys. I have a friend who needed a replacement tranny for his Nissan Navara (pretty common vehicle) and the car waited 2 months at the dealer for the tranny to arrive. He was going nuts and calling the dealers every 2 days without a real confirmation when. At least, with a huge Jeep market in the US and online shopping, we can get parts here much quicker than many guys for their toyomitsunissans. Rockauto standard shipping is 5 days to your door (sometimes 4), express 2 days, beat that!

I understand when it's under warranty and can be frustrating, as the dealers simply don't care about you enough. They only care when you're interested in buying.

I need an inlet manifold gasket for my WG CRD, MB say 2 weeks from Singapore.

Good thing I found the one I had.

You realise now the the new Australian Consumer Law is in, that would be classified as unreasonable, and the customer is entited to full compensation for any out of pocket expenses?

http://www.consumerlaw.gov.au/conten...tees_guide.pdf

see chapter 9 and 10, including:

The consumer can also ask for
compensation for any reasonably
foreseeable loss suffered due to the
manufacturer’s failure

Default Delivered with problems

Bought JGC Overland. Second drive tried out the air suspension. Message comes up with service air suspension. Also had park brake indicator not turn off. Can't use Adaptive cruise control. Took months to get suspension fixed and several trips to the service center. By around 1000km white smoke coming out from under the bonnet smelling of diesel. Didn't really get any real help till I contacted Jeep Australia. They were very helpful. Found in the end that they were all manufacturing defects. A lot of mucking around to get brand new car fixed.
