My solution to the door chime
Push the locking mechanism on the door into the closed position (2 clicks) with a screw driver as if the door had closed on the latch, now place your keys in the ignition and turn to the acc position.
Door open, No chime & radio/acc on.
Just remember to actuate the door handle before you close the door or it will thump very loudly and not close.
Guaranteed to work on WH, hope it works on your WK

I just pretend it's the wife's voice nagging me to do something. Surprising how quickly the annoying chime disappears and gets replaced with a very faint and tolerable blah blah blah blah
