I am also looking for a WK/2 having owned a WH for 7 yrs and very happy.
Despite some concerns about reliability there's nothing short of a Landcruiser or Landrover that will tow my van legally (2.8t) and they are way too expensive. My wife wouldn't want a ute, so Jeep it is.
I am wondering if there are any WK's out there with satnav, other than Overland models? Again, the Overland is too expensive for me unless I got one with big mileage, but I want a low km vehicle.
Was satnav optional on Laredo,or Limited? Is it worth having anyway?

Satnav is standard in the limited. There were activation codes you could buy for the laredo. Not sure if dealers sell them, but some on ebay:

Not sure which ones work on export models....

I still love my MY12.
Mines got almost 95K on it now and has been faultless. The 5 speed at times annoys me as it can be a lazy box, but I haven't driven an 8 speed one to compare. My previous car (Ford Territory turbo) had the great ZF 6 speed.
As others have said, the diesel will use approx. half the fuel of the Hemi.

Such a wildly varying opinion on whether it's worth activating too. Hard to know which way to go. I've tried asking a few times on how this unit goes well off the road, say in the Vic high country but no one seems to know or can be bothered. Does it show tracks or any features at all?

That is un****ing believable that they would sell a vehicle with the potential for sat Nav and simply have it disabled in the Laredo. The info on the eBay website in the link sounds good if it can be trusted, but still $565 to ' activate '..

I've used mine around South East QLD, and it does show some offroad tracks, but not a lot. I keep the hema app on my phone as a backup. And the maps are way out of date, so it tells me to turn right instead of left where new offramps with flyovers have been built.

Thanks Benno. Does anyone know of a way to update these maps. I mean surely Jeep aren't selling 2017 models with long outdated maps.......are they?
