Not sure re removing the uconnect bluetooth?
I can toggle between using the normal jeep radio and the carplay module.
I use the wireless function on the module or a usb plug i replaced the cigarette plug with for wired connection .

This has been probably discussed in detail and multiple times before but just wanted to ask will Jeep Australia ever release another update to the Australian map for the OEM navigation? I don't use the built in Nav app because I got CarPlay on mine and has been fantastic. Still like to know if they might ever do and what is the latest or last update version of the OEM map you guys have?

Only thing I like with the built in one is it brings the turns to the instrument cluster and has beautiful views of the water when next to lakes and oceans haha

But having Waze maps running on the screen everyday is so good to avoid those revenue collecting machines hiding behind bushes here in WA :P

No unfortunately as the days of map updates is dead in water as the move to phone app integration is the way forward. The actual maps in our jeeps were basic world map files (not the enriched detailed ones for Australia) and are in fact just Garmin maps but with Jeep licensing which is now now ceased as Jeep don’t want to buy them off Garmin anymore.

I guess plugging our phones into the car as we get in everyday is going to be the only option..have to say I am used to it now. Its almost like putting on the seatbelt!
