Default 99 XJ Limited a Money pit

So after doing the rear main last night i thought id sit down and work out what I've replaced on the Jeep in 2 years. Things I've done since purchase.

1. Made heavy duty headlight loom
2. Fitted new headlights
3. Rebuilt factory starter motor with new brush kit
4. Replaced spark plugs
5. Replaced bearing on AC compressor
6. AC compressor bearing failed 6 months later on boxing day
7. Rerouted serpentine belt to bypass AC
8. Overheating issues, replaced radiator, water pump
9. Thermostat not opening all the time, fit a 180f unit
10. Excess fuel consumption, replace thermostat with 195f unit
11. Replace leaking repco waterpump #1 , warranty
12. Replace all uni joints
13. Replace front wheel bearings and axle seals
14. fit shiny alloy d30 diff cover
15. New AC compressor , evap , dryer , lines
16. Replace distributor cap, rotor and leads
17. Replace coil
18. Remove clutchfan replace with dual speed 16" thermo
19. Replace serpentine belt for different belt path
20. Battery temp sensor mod
21. Replace leaking repco waterpump #2 , warranty
22. Fit Trucklite LED head lights and lightbar
23. Fit clear indicators with LED'S
24. Replace oil filter housing O-rings
25. Replace Crankshaft position sensor
26. Serviced and flushed all fluids including transmission flush
27. Replaced passenger engine mount and transmission mount
28. Had fitted 2" lift kit by Poly4x4 with bf mt's 31"
29. Replace leaking repco waterpump #3 , warranty
30. Replace rear main seal and sump gasket

theres probably heaps more i have forgotten about but thats not a bad list eh?

Your list is very close to mine. Ah well. I still think an XJ is worth it though because they are a real 4WD weapon.

yes definitely worth it , but still a money pit , lol
lucky 95% of the stuff i did myself

well at least it is done right and over a two year ? what about someone buying another brand of 4x4 and spending the money you have on the jeep IN TWO MINUTES LOL

You don't ever do that. if the misses finds out what your spending on the Jeep, you'll get banned.

Do as I do.....
I collect all the receipts, from all the purchases I've had to make for the Jeep, and then once a week I have a large bonfire.
