I just read a comment from another source that the car had 180k km on it, also that FCA took the case on since they felt the dealer's $47k repair quote was 'overestimated'. Comment is that FCA are getting it repaired at no cost to the owner. Nice outcome if it is indeed fact.

Read through some of the replies on You tube. ,absolute b--s--t most of them.What about Toyota,s DPF problems that still are not solved ,over fueling and buggering motors.Injector problems ,oil use in the early 200 series V8 diesel. The list of problems goes on with most other manufactures.As far as the fuel system on the WKs they have two fuel fiters in tandem,(I think 2 micron ) also a water trap in conjunction with these filters.
High pressure pump with injectors and fuel lines. Plus flush tank and all supply and return lines from tank should fix the problem. Probably more than that complete second hand engine in parts cost though.
