Need to pull rear driveshaft and grease the ball centring yoke.
Got a squeak after its been loaded.
Pull gearbox off winch and regrease.
Checked it the other day , no disengage.
Usually one click to get the weight off the gears , disengage and with one finger on the hook , pull the cable out.
Cant stand peoples winches that wont freespool , they back it out a couple of metres , and it starts going back in.
Ow , was meant to fix that.
Mean while , Jeeps tipping over.

I'm still at work so will have to wait for the school holidays. I need to sort my dual battery setup. Hopefully the Offroad Animal Nudge will turn up by then and I'll grab a light bar to whack on the front.
For the house, I need to paint the front, however a bloke at work said Bunnings was a nightmare on the weekend, long line and only a few people being let in at a time, hmm, waiting in lines is for assholes!

I was going to start a thread like this, but was beaten to it!

I am working from home, so I am very time poor. What I was going to do was get a panel shop to cover all the exposed bare metal. It is mainly along the sides of the engine bay where the hood slams shut - ouch!

I also have a project at the rear floor just under the plastic moulding where the tailgate closes. I need to order a new rubber seal for the tailgate, unscrew the plastic ripple strips near the edge, remove the bumper, and then re-sand the exposed bare metal, get rid of the rust completely, prime and paint.

If I get bored, I may do it myself. I have all the supplies, and with freedom of movement being restricted, now is a good time.

In terms of anything else, the car is in great shape, mechanically, with a new windscreen put in last week. I just need to make sure I turn the engine over every now and then to ensure the battery is charged.

As for its stable mate, the JKU 3.6L, that is fairly new and I don't know when it will next see the Stealer for a service. All airbag recalls have been done. It has been reliable in the 3 years I have had it and can't fault it. If I had to get service done, it would be by my local mechanic who looks after the XJ.

Do we need Stealers open? We can still get our XJ parts from all over.

If someone had to have a car in a zombie apocalypse, it would have to be an XJ.

Cool Stuff Guys I see We can all Amuse Ourselves while we are Stuck at HOME!
I forgot to add that I am the middle of trying to understand the Piece of Crap ride on Mower.....
I am no engineer But who designs this Crap?
It is a 2015 Scott Bonner Mini Rider the same as a Rover Micro 24" Cut.... Worse thing I ever did was buy it from my Mate for a $100 He got so pissed off with it Any Wonder
The 190cc Briggs and Stratton is Perfect .. I even put a New Carby on it ... But the Electrics are a Nightmare!
It uses a Deep Cell Battery (Cranking Amps?) thin Wiring No Solenoid only a Relay? the Starter Motor has No Terminals .. Just a twin wire coming out to the harness?
so F...ed if I can Hotwire it?
I am going to try and spin it up using a drill if I can Bypass the Seat Cut-out Switch Its Crazy
It is Worse than my XJ when it's in a Bad Mood
FRUSTRATING!............ Just as well I make my own BEER!

I have lots on the list.
Biggest being finish pulling engine out of my 2007 KJ.
XJ just sitting there all ready to roll. Its my camping car so it gets an easy life now.
Biggest issue is I had surgery on my neck (cervical spine) on Sunday, rushed through before the ban. Next to no neck movement at the moment but its slowly improving. Have a very bad allergy to all opiates (the good pain killers) so are feeling it at the moment.
3 rows of staples to come out on Easter Thursday, may improve after that.
Because of all that I am considered a high risk so isolation is a must. Forget the 1.5 meter rule, nearest neighbor is more like 1.5 Km. Plenty of room to take the dog for a walk,
No recorded cases within 25km so I dont think the virus will get here any time soon unless some one brings it. The front gate is locked.
Dont think I could even check the oil & coolant at the moment.

* relay out my heater fan

* re-engineer my headlight warning buzzer (which is failed), such that it works exactly the way I want it to..will do a write up

* Install my UCA, LCA and poly bush in D30

* Install headlining..I went to get all the stuff from Nolan O'Rourke last Monday, but they told me to fk off and order online..I did but ordered online elsewhere for cheaper, $80 for glue and fabric

I figure my sister is so bored she will help me...hard to get good assistance atm, my Mrs is working her freckle out atm, she is a psychologist, and they do it over the phone now, and she also has an online business, which has increased
