hmm, thats's usually indicating internal/mechanical issue.
The manual selection method is good to differentiate between electrical (like TCM) and mechanical causes of transmission malfunction. It would indicate more electrical/solenoid related malfunction if selecting manual would not reproduce the problem.
This might be leaning towards a more expensive problem...

You ran it with the oil supply blocked for a while. You have cooked it well. Takes a while for the problems to surface. if it was say a solenoid & you changed it, another problem would soon show. was the fluid discolored & smell of caramel?

It did smell cooked, I haven't addressed solenoid possibility yet. What confuses me is why it works so well on road, but not off.

Ok. I will try that. Yeah oil good. Have been informed that new lines installed were leaking, dont know if that would affect operation.
