Hi all, I have been searching for a part at the steeler parts after not finding what I wanted at Repco. They found it in a diagram, but it was unlabeled and possibly not catalogued.

It is a thin hose in a 4.0L engine bay that goes from the fuel pressure regulator to the top middle edge of the air inlet manifold. It is this part I am after as the hose has hardened and snapped. I think it is a vacuum hose because there is a similar hose that goes from the manifold to the round canister thingy in the rear pax side of the engine bay.

For the time being, I have improvised by using another hose between the regulator and the manifold inlet.

It is definitely an air hose.

As a side comment, has anyone replaced all the hoses in their rig, because they got tired of attending to each one?

yes it is a vac hose I just used a length of bog standard vac hose to replace mine, worked fine with out the 90* elbows, just used some small cable ties to secure it.

you will find that the hose is actually plastic and hasnt hardened from rubber

just replace it with normal vacuum hose like rainman suggested

Thanks everyone. I cut the hose out of the elbow connector and then stuffed a new vacuum hose in. Having said that, the 21 yo engine bay needs close inspection and a future project might be to get Joe mechanic to replace most of the hose gear.

From the parts manual...

TUBE, Fuel Regulator to Manifold - 5300 6235

Took 10 seconds to find...

I too just used some vacuum line as the rubber elbows on mine had perished, and yes the line is plastic....
