Default Provent Questions

Hi All,

Another new Jeep owner and I re both interested in getting the Provent 200 fitted to our vehicles. He has kindly done a lot of research with the dealers, etc and it seems it is fine with the warranty, etc.

Could someone please answer the following questions:

1. Does the MY15 have a crank case pressure monitoring system?

2. Does the Jeep use an Open crankcase ventilation or a Closed crankcase ventilation?

Appreciate the answers to theese two questions if anyone knows.

Thanks,
Sally

There is nothing to monitor but vapor gases flowing back into the intake, I am not sure about the grand, but the JK CRD has a heater element (which does SFA) inline to prevent moister going into the intake.

It has a closed crankcase system, No modern car will pass EPA with a open crank case system. Pretty much every car in the last 35+
years has been closed crank case.

Heater element? Guess that must be for the cold climates. Maybe it is switched off in Aus?

Shame your not in SA sterlingsal. HPD are looking for a GC owner to take their car in so they can adapt a bracket for their catch cans and it would be at a special price.

Hi Starion VR4,

Can you please post your set up pics?

There is a member in Brisbane who would love to visit you to have a look if that is okay.

Please post pics on here so we can all see and I will PM you.

Thanks,
Sally
