Exclamation MENAI Is "Offically Closed" ** Please Read!!

Menai has been "Offically Closed" for any reactional use by any group at all including 4wder's. Police will no longer treat any incidents there as "traffic matters" but will now treat them as "Criminal Matters" and dealt with as such. Rumours that the police where only interested in bikes/dumpers is wrong as per the Area Traffic Commander for the area stated to me today Enter at your own risk as they say. Hope Menia is not continually "illegally" used to the determent of others...........
Stephen Taylor,

So much for sacred land......
I'm purchasing my first 4wd this weekend and have never had the chance to wheel there, but there was some great fun to be had by the looks of it... R.I.P menai Don't get me started on the added pressure on the m5 this will cause.

so when you say 'no more use by any clubs or 4wd'ers', you're saying that things like the old menai clean up days are over - there is no more access regardless, no days can be organised there through the authorities, if that makes any sense??

Hi,
Yes, that is correct and believe me, some people have been seriously trying to find out what's happening and why they did it to us that way........... Still awaiting a "lousy" meeting, not even a thanks but goodbye............... by the way , the developement has gone from $750 Million to a $2 Billion income generating developement for the local land owners.?? wonder if they can pay for the removal of all the crap collected over the years there at clean-ups from the $2 Billion? which the chap from the GALC on the news seemed to be claiming as part his men's work but is/was part we were trying to get rid of as "volunteers" over many years when their only concern was "you keep it clean", or get some other suckers to fall for the cause........LOL....

P.S. Any Sydney person should read or see the NSW/ACT4wd Assoc. web site.. needs pushing along to get more vocal about it.................. Also any other local club's should check out the SJC site regarding this matter. Have also pm'ed Jimmy to remove the Menai access arrangements at the top of the trips page...........But a bit of a joke with some folk as can be clearly noted on the forum regardless of private name changes to specific locations there given to them. Being going there to long not to recognise where Any pic shown location---- Anyone want to compare pic's...LOL...... Stephen T.

I'd like to add that macarthur 4wd club done a run out there last night and have posted pics on their facebook page, they also have a night run planned for the 5th or 6th out menai also.
Seems to me they are still allowed access to menai????, unless they just don't give a shit anymore like everbody else and just plan on driving the joint till construction signs go up......

I think you'll find it's option 2 unless they have somehow negotiated access, which I doubt, as the 4WD Association aren't even able to get a call back since it was gated at their only officially allowed entry point.

Cheers
Steve
