Not sure on your year, but with the 2011 I have where auto the boot cover on the slip joint will tear on the auto bash plate. Solution is a new drive shaft. After market are much thinner and stronger. That said, my boot cover has been torn for coming up nine months and all is okay. Just keep it clean and well lubed.

Did you replace all the control arms aswell? Would u recommend a drive shafr replacement? Want ro do it right the first time but it starts getting very expensive. Would the same issue occur with a 2.5inch lift?

Depends on auto and manual. I think manual u "can" get away with it. Depends on the length of your shocks. Ive got 28" front shocks on 3" lift and havent disconnected the sway bar yet as I havent gone out since getting it all installed. But im pretty sure anything over 27" front is too long and will cause ds problems. We will see. When that happens ill replace it
