Default transmission/ac noise

Need a bit of input. Time is tight and need some feedback as to making an appointment with a Jeep surgeon. School holidays coming up and they are booked solid.

I have a whine coming from in/on/around the transmission. Only when I have the a/c on and only while accelerating. Terminal? Or turn the radio up?
I have to do a 5000k trip starting next week and I don't want to do more damage.
(Just for feedback. The KK sits in the garage for days on end. I think it has been about four weeks since I filled it up and now it's still only half empty. Or half full. It sat unused for 4+ months while I was over seas. So It maybe be just something tight or dry).

Any ideas?

regards

I have a similar issue when my AC is on there is a 'pinking' noise on take off, just like, well, old school pinking.

It is my AC pump bearing on its way out and is louder when its really hot outside and the pump is working hard. The KK, and I believe earlier models with this AC pump, have this issue. Mine would of been fixed by Jeep under manufacture warranty if the previous owner had a brain. Oh well.

If you're worried, drive with AC off (if that is your issue)

I would be happy to drive with the ac off. But fixing it may be cheaper than a divorce!!!

Had a similar issue with a WK last week , only happened when the AC Compressor engaged only it was intermitant, turned out it was the TX Valve having contamination in the needle from 1 of the 2 cab side rubber impregnated steel oring seals failing due to corrosion ill get you some pics tomorro of the seals and the TX valve , unfortunately its starting to be a common accurance on the early 2011/2012 WKs they either develop a small leak on the lower passenger side of the condencer or the TX Valve gets contaminated via the seals .
