With the ignition on remove the radio and disconect the main harness from the rear of the radio & reconect it after about 10 seconds this will reset the unit & should clear the Passcode request .

Default Found an easy way to fix

This is for a 2007 WH Grand Cherokee with original radio. Had the battery go flat for an extended period whilst we were away. Resulted in a request for the radio code. Rang dealer who quoted several hundred $ to temove radio, get serial no and provide code. After some research and thinking about it used the following procedure. Removed radio fuse in box in engine bay (fusebox nearest battery & fuse is a large black 2nd from the large yellow at the front left). With the fuse out turn the ignition key to accessories and then replace the fuse. The radio will indicate it is in secure mode and ask you to turn the key to on. Once you do that the radio will realise it is in the right vehicle and start. Posted this to help others.

That's bullshit that they want to charge to give a radio code. They should be able to give it.to you from your Vin within seconds. Bloody pirates trying to gouge everyone!
Ford tried the same shit with me years ago, until after telling the bloke I was going to dump the car in their caryards dealer driveway and leave it he suddenly found it within about 5 seconds

I have two WH Grandys. Bought a nice aftermarket GPS/DVD set for one and put the 6 stack in the other - it had the single disk. I went to the local Stealership with all the VIN, radio numbers, even photos of the vehicles and rego papers. They took down the numbers and said to ring the next day, that became ring back, call back in, come back with the numbers again... We forgot who you are, call in and see us... Two months of just total BS. (And no friggin radio in the car) Then they palmed me off to spare parts.. Start the story all over again.. He rang me back in about a half hour with the code. No charge, no problem.. WHY!!!!
