Just to add my 2 cents worth.

I run 285/70 R17 BFA MT's on the JK's stock rims.
The spare fits on the stock carrier just. so you will not need spaces etc.

No need to worry about changing as others said that size will fit just fine and the weight difference between that and the stock tyre which is a 32" is not that great as to be a huge concern. I have Maxxis Bighorn 275/70 17 on the stock rims and have no issues.

Thanks guys...looks like I might .....or might not need to fit a spacer .

soup -Pretty sure somebody commented in the Lift/Tyres forum that they used some door stops from Bunnings as a cheap alternative for spaces for their Spare Wheel.
Have you got a photo of the door stops and how they are used?

Don't mind the thread hi jack either.. most entertaining.

Mate you definitely won't need a spacer. I've got 285/70X17 KM2s' on my stock Rubi rims and they fit no problem. Just a bit tighter against the rubber stops.

The AEV swingaway mounts straight to the chassis and can be purchased separately - if I remember correctly the price is below $1000.

You don't need a rear bar. You can use an OR Fab carrier which bolts through the body (not to the body).
