Constant nuisance OBD faults

Gents,

So I'm on a mission to rid my OBD of stupid nuisance fault codes. The watershed moment came last week when I replaced all 6 glow plugs that, even though weren't throwing a code, were not functioning well enough to start the engine quickly from cold.

I worked out, after I replaced them, the long cranking and a subsequent voltage drop were the reason the canbus was losing connection with systems and throwing codes.

Replacing the plugs brought the errant faults down to only a couple. I have a good battery but I believe the OEM battery's resting voltage is higher than typical, and the Optima batteries tend to have this too.

So, my question - those of you with higher resting voltage batteries, has this eliminated all nuisance faults thrown by a voltage drop?

Ran a diagnostic with https://appcar-diagfca.com/en/ just to see how it worked, last scanned about 6 months ago and the only codes I have are for my LED reversing lights, my thermo fan override and my dead glow plug.

This would have to be the lowest number of faults I have ever seen so maybe you are onto something as I have a D27F Optima.

I use Bluedriver Clarky, but that app looks brilliant.

I will investigate it a bit more. Being able to change tyre size and re progrem TPMS set point would a brilliant. Do you know if it can control voltage to headlights too?

Edit - yes it seems it can do the headlight voltage. And enable one touch lane change and mirror dip on reverse!

Can do most factory options.
Can turn tpms off but not change set point
still learning the other functions but I don't think headlight voltage is one of them

Hey, Clarky, just a thought. Do you use BLUETOOTH and phone or a hard wire OBD cable to PC? I read on a forum that the advanced partners can't be changed by Bluetooth.
