If the chassis mount is damaged, it can be drilled out & a new tapered insert welded in, or upgrade the track bar to a heim joint style.

Does anyone do an off the shelf kit to convert the chassis end to a bushed style trackbar? For RHD?

Sweet.
Could I get some recommendations and or pros/cons for each? Ie would the weld insert be stronger or weaker than the heim conversion? Would the mount still tend to flog out if I convert to heim?
My decision at the moment is between 1) new trackbar with heim conversion
2) weld insert and keep current track bar
Appreciate any advice I can get. I'm not fussy whether I have replies by post or pm.
Cheers
Dave.

It would depend on what height over standard your suspension is. stock to 50mm raised, the factory track bar is fine (IMO) but bigger lifts will be more reliable with a heim joint chassis mount. I saw a RHD aftermarket on e-bay recently advertised to be available with the standard type chassis mount or with the heim joint option & adapting hardware. Iron Rock in the USA also do a RHD front track bar, but our dollar is a bit shabby at present

Hi again,
I'm running the OME 2.5" kit, but may go higher, undecided at the moment. I'm leaning towards the heim conversion but haven't been able to find any that do a RHD. Any pointers?
Tried getting the old Bar off, but can't undo the nut at the chassis end, the bolt just spins in the hole. I've given it a good dose of wd40, see if that helps.
Dave

IRO as mentioned previously. Tell them you need RHD, that's all. Try using a bottle jack under the bottom of the track bar tie rod end to load it up to undo the nut. If that wont work, use a micro disc on a 4" grinder & cut the stud off flush with the underside of the mount.
