Take a good hard look at Coopers....then buy 'em. But replace all 5 and rotate them as they should be.

Hi asp 777.
I am considering upgrading to 265/65r17, same size as Prado. Makes sense that these will be more readily available than the std size.
Bridgestone have them available in the Dueler AT 693 & this pattern has proven itself as a good allrounder.
Otherwise you are pretty much stuck with 2 Goodyear offerings, the Wrangler SR/A & F1. Both in the GC Std 235/65r17 size.
Just waiting for some of the other sizes available OS to filter thru Downunder.
Sorry Ozjeeper, I have never been a Cooper fan as I like my tyres to be round & balance well with a minimum of lead weights. Funny thing with Coopers, some love EM & some hate EM. from what I have seen their road type patterns have very light cases & sidewalls, & their true all terrains are noisy & prone to excessive heel/toe wear.
Admittedly they have spent a s##tload in advertising & magazine sponsorship to promote themselves, but I find their restrictive dealer practices a pain.
Regards
David

Yeah, Sounds that there there is little to choose from. But need to get somethng soon. Note that the larger size may not fit in the spare's well in the boot. Steve

True I havent tried one in there yet. I think the diameter will be ok. Currently making a false floor to replace tyre cover that will give an extra 20-30 mm width (and a nice flat surface to bult fridge etc onto).
If thats not enough may have to fit partially deflated as I always have a compressor on board.
Pity the tyre manufacturers are lagging on importing some of the sizes available o/seas. 245/70r17 would be just about perfect. How about a nice goodyear mt/r?
Regards
David
