how do you get error codes to show

Rapidly turn your ignition key on, off, on, off, on.....and wait. The odometer will then cycle through any uncorrected error codes, confirming the number shown by flashing the "check engine light", i.e. 3 flashes followed by 2 flashes is 32.

How do you know thats not 5 flashes?

my engine light has been on for a few weeks and im using way to much fuel 200ks to a full tank and not even reving it over 3gran, so i tried to check my codes the on off on off method didnt work and by using the reset button it flashed an 8 accross the screen than read vin(i think it was the vin) than bus 60, bus 68, than went throug a intstrument cluster check where it moved all guages and lights ect does bus 60 and bus 68 mean anything, ohh and its an 03 manual

when i turn the key from run to off to run to off to run quickly, the error code PO335 shows up. As i couldn't find this code on any of the lists in this thread, i found it on this site
