Default Front Drive shaft Brackets

Hi Guys,

How many brackets are you to have for the front drive shaft. I have two but my mechanic is saying i need 4. But all the documents I've seen just show 2. Am i right is it just 2?

Thanks

Are you referring to the u-joint straps? There are two straps held on by four bolts at the diff end.

Yup, one end has 2 straps and 4 bolts (diff end), the other just has 4 bolts and no straps (T-case end). You can convert the diff end from straps and bolts to bolts only but requires you to replace the front yoke on the diff.
