The oil filter adaptor o-rings are a common problem in the older engines. use a T60 torx bit. Punch the bit out of the socket head to shorten the tool. Attach a spanner and loosen the bolt when the engine is warm. The bolt is tight as the factory used thread locker on it. Doing it when the engine is warm will soften the thread locker. There are U Tube videos on how to do it.

What year? And your OEM radiator, you say not in bad condition; has it ever been cleaned? With a new wp in, and high flow thermo etc, your symptoms point towards blocked/insufficient radiator, with anything that asks a bit more from the engine causing it to run hot...why not try a good clean first, you can always buy new?

maybe , next week i try with an aluminum 3 row radiator , it's very crazy why it's overheat all time in 4WD or when you push the accélérator for more power

If the reason you have rising temps, at that speed - is a partially blocked radiator ... then basically, any radiator ought to make a difference.

... unless they sold you a waterpump designed to spin in the opposite direction.

Ensure the thermostat is opening at the correct temp and not being lazy. i.e. What temp does the top hose get hot, after a cold start.

Run a 30/70 coolant mix ... as the max ratio.

Actual average running temp wont drop much using it ... but the instances of climbing/spiking temps under load, will reduce a bit.

I use way less than 30 eth-gly,
... but thats my choice ..

Have you changed the diff ratios ?

Are you using 4th gear/overdrive in your offroad driving scenarios ?

... and probably the most important thing ...

How are you reading the temp ? Just with a factory temp gauge - or do you have something else. Its not uncommon to have a dodgy sensor/sender that gives false readings.

T60 torx bit is 10mm hex on mine, cut the socket shorter & ground it to hex shape, then 13/16th ring on hex & a bit of pipe for leverage. F-tight all the way, no Loctite on reassembly. Broke, bent all my 10mm spanners ( even sidchrome ) before I thought of grinding down the socket.

thank you

the radiator are replaced befor i buy the xj , but is not new , and the radiator of a/c is maybe dirty , when i replace for the 3row i can clean it with a air compressor ( i buy one 3row on ebay now )

on hightway i don't use 4wd , 4wd only for off road when i need ,

my temp gauge is oem but is work fine , when im on the red , the coolant go out , and when im cold in morning i see it's move when the thermostat is open

and my ratio is oem for the diff

thank you

There are 3 orings that need to be replaced. you can either buy this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GENUINE-J...UAAMXQfvlSgHbm

Or order from Rockauto for about $5 delivered and takes about a week to get here.

I changed them recently, only took half an hour with a full oil change included.
