I had that turbo hose blow off on my old Laredo while towing my van, no sign of overheating just lack of power, but was reasonably easy towing at that time. regards Russell

I suspect the trans temp was high due to it having no boost and you having to apply a lot of throttle to maintain a speed, therefor stopping the torque converter clutch from locking up. This will heat up the trans in no time, especially towing. Te service 4WD light is very common and without checking the codes, I'd bet the codes relate to the rear diff motor and 4WD control module (transfer case control module) under the passenger seat. The diff motor is hideously expensive from Jeep and the module is not too bad but from what I have seen, stock is hard to come by. I ordered the diff motor and module from mopar online, had it in a week and installed in about 2 hours with basic hand tools. FYI, Jeep quote $3000 to do this job. I'm based in Dandenong so if you need some help with this, without the dealer bullshit, then give me a call - Matt - 9793 1616 B/H

Many Thanks Matt. It turned out to be the Auto Transmission. So the put in a Recon transmission, condenser cooler and cooler pressure hose. Took 3.5 weeks. The morning after I picked it up (last Thursday) the Check Engine Light came on. Back to the dealer Friday afternoon determine the DPF needs a burn. Okay so get them to do that, 45 minutes later get told it fails at 86%. Rang them just now - cause they never call. and they have 2 GC MY13 with the identical burn fail issue. Supposedly working with Jeep Australia to sort it.

In fact I've had my GC into your place in early July for an ECU remapping. Received great service.
