I know they are not completely correct. The bolt values came straight from an Australian standard for steel connections. These are values engineers use every day. They are ultimate load values. The snatch strap values are debatable because there is no Australian standard for recovery gear. Even if I am off by a factor of 3 it's still questionable.

No, they are ultimate design capacities. Loads and capacities are not interchangeable terms. Speak to a structural engineer if you want to find out more. Bottom line is you don't have to use it as a recovery point if you don't feel comfortable about it.

I wanted one of those ace engineering bars but no vendors deal with them and they don't reply to emails very regularly...

I emailed and they responded over night, they were short in detail but said Australia can get them via "black rock 4x4". But I can't find them.....

Thats a nice set up.....great price.
You guys should look into importing them yourself.....check out some of the musclecar or hot rod magazines, or Part Peddler mag.....there are a number of people advertising the importing of vehicle parts - you get it sent to a freight agent in the US, they pack into a container, then you pick it up from the import agent. I brought in nearly everything I used when I rebuilt my Pontiac this way. You will pay Duty, GST and a Customs paperwork fee of $72....plus the sea freight and handling charge of the importer.

Only issue with ace is it takes 6-8 weeks to build as they build to order from what it shows on the website
Was planning on going through a reseller like northridge who show they sell as well
