On a recent service - my 2016 Overland was detected with a leaking rear shocker. I have been waiting 3 months for one to arrive from the US as it is a warranty job.
Was told they have only just arrived! Maybe you should try and grab some [but not mine!].

Can someone explain how these work, are they also air filled or are they oil filled?
Are there any options for replacement other than standard?

I have a knocking sound from my front left air shock, but as it’s inside the air unit, can’t see how it can be serviced.
Any one know if there is a fix?

If the vehicle is a WK2 overland with Quadra lift air bag suspension the shock and air bag are two separate parts. eg the rear shock is a separate unit as per normal and the airbag fits where the normal spring would go.The front shock attaches to front upright and the airbag slides over the shock where the normal spring would be seated.Airbags for both front and rear can be purchased separately as can the front upright shocks and rear shocks. There are a number of Chinese suppliers how good they are is questionable.None of these parts are cheap to replace!!

How much (if any) of the air suspension is covered by warranty?
