99 WJ issues
It seems my 99 WJ Laredo is possessed! I have it for sale, and have had a couple people take it for a test drive, each time it conks out on them, but when I go and drive it back, it goes fine! At first I thought they might be trying to pull one over to get it cheaper, but it has happened a couple times now with different people. I lost the original keys, and has been running on the spare key with no button entry, so I am wondering if it may be something to do with the spare key and immobilizer? Can anyone tell me if the immobilzer system would still allow it to start and run with spare key, but only drive for short distance (2 - 3ks)???

does the light on the dash come on when it starts and runs ? (key with line through light)
I take that when you open it , it is from drivers door ?
in which the drivers door is most used on a car does ALL the controls in the drivers door work ?
as it could be broken wires between door and body.
have you checked for any error codes ?
mine use to do that at start , run for a few minutes then cut out and then all fine.
I had a bad connector for the 02 sensors and a few others.
do a error code check .
if your selling it , what model , what engine , what state do you live in ?
do you have it listed here in AJOR?
