Default oxford falls northern beachs Sydney

There are a few trails that you can get around off the wakehurst parkway as well as going over past the satalite dishes. The one of the wakehurst you need to get around a few posts first but at the moment it is possible and there is some good rock crawling available.

Regards,

Simon.

I used to run driver training there for the Suzuki Club years ago and it was our local A grade trip location, an excellent track. Unfortunately it was also closed about 10 years ago, not too sure I'd like to get caught in there by the local rangers having snuck in.

Yep, very much a banned spot to drive.

I mountain bike in the area and frequently see cops on XR-400s chasing unreg`d trail bikes so watch out...

Do they chase registered bikes? I have asked the police and a ranger some time ago and neither said they would be the ones that would fine you. It seems everyone says/knows its off limits but when I enquired to try and clarify things no one in authority said it was. There seems to be a bit of scare mongering surrounding the area. I'd like to know of anyone being fined for being in there and who issued the fine and did it stand up in court.

It's offlimits, that's why there are locked gates across the entrance and why other entry points have been blocked up by large boulders.

As Dave has pointed out, a Range Rover was caught because he got stuck trying to get out over the boulders blocking one of the access points.

The guy who owns that range rover has been driving there in various vehicles for at least 15 years and he has helped maintain most of those tracks as well as porters, yalwal and others.

I have never heard of any registered truck being fined but they do fine unrego'd bikes. If you do go in be carfull of residence bushwalking as they will complain. It is unfortunate to see as people used to complain about damage to the bush but know most of the other side is houses anyway.
