Default Electronic mistery.

Evening all,
2002 Grand Cherokee 2.7crd 140,000 miles. About 2 months ago I had a new key and fob programed. Everything was working just fine until about a week ago when the fob started working when it wanted. I couldn’t cancel the alarm with the door key. Also the windows wouldn’t go up or down or just the driver’s side would work, during this the dash lights would come on. Now it is intermittently cutting out about 2 seconds after starting. I have disconnected the battery then reconnected it but this only works some times. Then all of a sudden it will start and run but with or without working windows. I have checked all the wires in all door boots just to be sure. I’m now running out of ideas other than pushing it over a cliff.
Can anyone offer and ideas please cheers.

possible that it might be the PCM/ECM ,
if you don't have the correct scan tool as well , as it is different from the petrol .
try disconnecting the battery for a while , and clear all the errors.
check the wiring loom that runs from the PCM/ECM also have a look at the BCM
(drivers side right under dash .
and remember , battery earth come off first , and gets placed back last.

Disconnecting the battery on the CRD will not clear codes, even after several months.

Have you checked battery condition with a proper load test.
Have you cleaned all earths.
Did you actually check continuity of the main wire in the drivers door or just look at to see if it looked OK.
Run the codes a couple of times and let us know.
Who programmed the new key.

https://appworld.blackberry.com/webs...ode=US&lang=en

to clear all codes for the CRD , you would need a ELM327 Bluetooth connector
for use on android phone I think . plenty out there , just be careful on quality
THATS if it reads all modules. I use a Autel md802 on mine , but I don't think it will do the CRD , good luck on reading ALL modules and screwing around on Bluetooth connections.
NOTE: the link is for a blackberry .
