Default In tassie for the weekend without my Jeep!! - Bugger!

You know what point where realisation hits you!

I'm in Tas on the west coast for work. But I'm seeing all these great looking tracks and all I'm driving is a silly little I40 hire car!!

Bugger! I am so going to have to set out time later on this year to get the jeep down here for a bit of a trek around!!

We're heading down the West coast for the weekend wheeling and camping in a fortnight, only been down there once and that trip was cut 3 days short due to a blown motor in the TJ.
Really looking forward to it although with this weather we're coping atm the camping part may need a rethink.

When you do plan on coming down hit us up and we will organize something.

We moved three years ago.

There are a few Jeep addicts here. Tas Jeep on FB is a small but friendly group.

A tip, sell everything large you don't have a real connection with (unless someone else is paying for your move). A large wooden dining table for example cost my employer an extra $500 to add to the manifest. Could have bought 3 similar ones down here for the same money!!

Cheers.

Thanks. I am already marking the stuff I need to chuck, ebay or gumtree away. I have heaps of heavy Jeep stuff, tools. Prolly leave them in the Jeeps and drive there really carefully . Oh, by complying with the ADRs and releveant VSBs of course!

Am trying to get a job in Melbourne, where I will be commuting to roughly once a week. I will know the results by June 8th. . At the moment I am looking at somewhere near Hobart for ease of commute. Sandford looks nice or is it better west of the Derwent?

Bleet was gonna take my wheels and tyres buttt the dog kept him leashed.

Maybe I'll brung them over in my new antique trailer when the wife and I do the Grampians, Otways, You Yangs and back via the high country.

When I went to Tassie earlier this year, the trip on the "Spirit of Tasmania" was too calm for me. I am a boatie and wanted more of a ride! Like in a Jeep!
