I bought one for my Commander about 8 weeks ago and it's great. Just plug in and play. It actually has more functions than described in the ad. The user manual is hopeless as it's translated Chinese plus it only describes about 50% of the functions. I've found so many more good pages and function. There are a few small issues such as the dial knobs green back light is a bit too bright and you really need an external aerial for good radio reception.

Check out my thread and photos as it's installed in my Commander.

Thanks mulitihulls much appreciated.
I got to say it's the factory fit and factory controls that win for me.

2003 grand Cherokee LTD
Sorry no build pics, done it about 3 years ago.
Basically removed stock radio, used the stock bezel.
Cut it down to the bottom moulding line, and up to the top moulding line.
The fascia is contoured to the dash ie round, New radio is flat.
Need to build up the fascia about 10mm. done this with fibreglass body filler.
Drilled small holes in the wood grain fascia so the filler would have a good bond.
Hand shaved and sanded the filler to get the correct contours.
Behind the fascia you need to do some trimming and remove a heap of plastic, not hard.
Painted the fascia the same colour as the dash.
The avic has front, rear and sub W out. run to alpine amp under the back seat. Cables run under the centre console with reverse camera.
Added a steering wheel interface, got stock steering wheel controls.

Retained stock steering wheel controls
GPS in dash with tracking, can be viewed on a PC
7" display
DVD
Blue-tooth phone with mike located next to the overhead EVIC
5 channel amp out
Reverse camera works automatically when in reverse. Can be set to view while driving. Handy when towing.
USB with AV in for IPhone/Ipod video streaming
SD card Music, videos, GPS tracking

Yep, I installed the reversing camera too. It was a cheap one off Ebay and it doesn't always connect when I go to reverse. I have to go to neutral then back R again sometimes for it to make the screen show up. If I plug my video camera in it works the first time so one day I'll buy a better quality camera.
