That flex is ridiculous! Definitely not normal.
We have a Rhino Pioneer Platform and carry double Hobie weighing 35kg. No flex whatsoever.
Cheers
Sally

If I'm not mistaken, the 68kg limit has more to do with the stability of the car and preventing rollovers when cornering, than the structural integrity of the roof.

My roof flexes the same, a firm pull down on the front corner sees movement in the panel. The uneek roof rack replaces the chrome rails and spreads load to the pinch welds. No movement with that on the roof and fully loaded.

It would be a worry if the car becomes unstable with more than 68kg on the roof. I have over 100kg on the roof with the uneek rack, don't even notice it.

68Kg would not be much good for a rooftop tent

I must have missed something?? Isn't the maximum roof loading set by the manufacturer? Mine comes with a very obvious sign stating exactly what I'm allowed to carry on the roof.

Yep, the positioning of the roof rails in from the pinch weld means it has less strength. Some roof racks replace the roof rails and spread weight onto the pinch weld (the black strip along the roof) and this increases the weight it can hold without deforming the roof.
