Default 2012 JKU CRD Transmission fluid level

My 2012 CRD JKU is approaching 90,000km's, and so I wanted to flush the transmission. Noting that there was no drain plug, I opted to get a replacement transmission pan with a drain plug.

I took it to a mechanic to get the transmission pan and fluid changed. The mechanic did the works, but I have since noticed that my transmission breather hose (after market accessory) is leaking transmission fluid - not ideal.

I queried him as to how much fluid he put in, and he advised that he went by manufacturers specification - 6.5 litres. I suspect that some of the oil may have remained in the torque converter and so he has overfilled.

I want to drain some of the transmission fluid to get it back to the right levels.

Annoyingly the CRD transmission (WAG) does not have a dipstick - however I have a dipstick that I can measure the levels.

Does anyone have the measurements for hot/cold transmission fluid for a JK CRD WAG transmissions?

thanks in advance.

Have you asked this on the CRD FB page? If I were you, I'd drain it, and fill it to spec myself. The extra flush certainly would hurt.

Would only drain, measure and replace with equivalent volume if it were mine
