Default 2.8 CRD Fuel filter leak

Hi all,

JK 2007 2.8 CRD with the classic fuel leak from the head of the filter support
so I order : K52126232AF Filter Fuel/Water Separator
K56055552AE Wire harness

but during assembly I realize that the new wiring can not be mounted on the new filter as it has a larger connector than the electric cable
what's the problem ? Has this already happened to anyone ?
thank you

Giacomo

The burnt out one is the heating element, leave it unplugged.

This is the reason why the unit failed, the element melts the housing and cracks it causing it to leak.

Thanks MidnightMods

I knew that the cause was the heating element but I wanted to know if someone had already happened to have this problem connecting the new filter fuel/water separator and the new (or old that has the same connector) wire harness

its a separate item, don't know the part number. Don't need to use it, like I said above you only need to plug in the fuel temp sensor which is the same. Heating element leave unplugged
