Default 2019 Diesel

Hi gang

Am buying an GC Overland and have been waiting for the 2019 model to come out. Have heard that models with the diesel engine will be the last cab off the rank which is OK 'cos I'm in no rush, but disturbingly I've also heard that it's likely to have 177Kw which is down a bit on the quoted 184Kw of the current model.

Does anyone know why? Don't think it's a completely new engine so is it just differences on the cetane rating of Aussie diesel?

Cheers

Probably find it is a different tune to address the supposed diesel emission scandal that stopped the diesel being offered for a season or two in the US.

You're right. The figures are down a touch.

http://wk2jeeps.com/pdf/2019_wk2_specifications.pdf

240 hp (179 kW) at 3,600 rpm
420 lb.-ft. (569 Nm) at 2,000 rpm

Now I'm really confused - this dude is saying the GC has 194Kw and 599Nm of torque:

Does he know something we don't ???

so tourque is down 1Nm
and power down is down 6kW

wouldn't even notice the difference

You are right but there is a tantalizing bigger difference between 177Kw and 194Kw - I know which one I'd rather have.
