of all the stupid idiot things I have seen
clock spring is off I pulled it open to look and they want how much for a new one ? WTF!!!!!!!
it is no wonder I open up the other 2000 model one to look how the hell to get the steering wheel off and see a bloody sticker stating : MADE IN MEXICO" so what , we got to pay a huge amount for a plastic and ribbon piece of rubbish just so that some Mexican can get his green card and leave his second job of being a drug mule !!!!
SHAME SHAME SHAME on you jeep ,
I am going to try to solder the wires back on , and attempt to restrengthen the area that gets the common break , yes yes people they all do it , I must of turned the steering wheel while fitting .
and not that the area is that strong in the first place .
but complete rubbish made part , not worth the money they charge not even at quarter price.

RTpartsco.com which used to be Mopar-Wholesale in the states they sell genuine parts, good prices and reasonable shipping. DO NOT USE A NON GENUINE PART to replace this. Rockauto sells non-genuine for about $75us.

thanks for that , but I have already ordered , and you would not believe where ........... AMAZON yeah of all places , I got a dorman one a 525-121
cost all up including postage was 181.33 AU , on e bay wanted over 200 including post , wreckers wanted 200 for a bloody used one . I have used dorman before with no dramas in there parts , but man im not sure of this amazon lot , there so called express delivery (cost of about 40 bucks) there is no way I could solder it , as I only had a 30 watt iron and my eyes are not what they use to be , I can not get over that a cheap plastic thing like that they can charge so much for in Australia , and trying to find one was a battle , and I can not get over the fact the 2000 model one had a sticker inside saying " made in mexico " burns a image of a bunch of Mexicans running for the border like rabbits in a spot light, or one building the parts for jeep , and slowly making his own jeep to dash to the border in !
