Default wj 4.7 ecu / pcm fail

my wj needs new pcm . sparky said stealership wants $2700 for a new one + recode $$ . anyone know of a reconditioning place ? or success 2nd hand from wreckers?
or anyone wants to buy wj not running?

Mate what model/yr jeep and is it the jtec ? I may be able to help you out with one I have lying around. It needs reprogramming and I know this one works fine. From memory its off a V8 laredo 2001/02.

thanks mate 02/2003 4.7 laredo . i think its a jtec , when i google part no it comes up with jtec pcu for dodge and other chrysler vehicles. i can pm you with mob # if it helps.

Update....... after auto elec tells me pcm faulty, removed pcm and skim module take to AFI for testing and repair . They cant find fault.
Problem will crank, but wont fire radomly. When has fault have no gauges working either.
Any suggestions?

I got a pcm cheap from a pick and pull wrecker for nothing but am keeping it for spares. Look at eBay. $2700 is redisculosk!

Tried a few wreckers and ebay cant find same part number pcm
