Default XJ 99 diesel sump plug

Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a 1999 diesel jeep and love it, however when I went to service it I noticed the sump plug is a Torx bit or something similar. Does anyone know exactly what it is and maybe what size? Saves me buying a heap of wrong sizes which I would never use.

Cheers

It’s Allen key dude , will most likely look torx until u clean it , or tap the correct Allen key into it , think from memory it’s an 8 or 9mm standard hex Allen key

I purchased a set off Ebay, up to size 60, which is biggest needed (I think)
for less than $30...you NEED Torx bit set to work upon your Jeep!
