Hey people,

Helping a mate who's looking at buying a Jeep Patriot, 2010 Limited. I've got JKU wrangler so know nothing about these Jeeps... Wondering if you guys can enlighten me on things to look out for, common issues, recalls etc.

Any advice or experience be useful.

If its a manual dont go speed racing it lol the gearboxs are good but dont take kindly to being flogged and learn to feel the clutch they are very light and fry quickly if abused , all recalls are complete for these , there was only 1 major one for the 2ltr manuals , an issue of stalling when going down through the gears from 3rd to 2nd , if it has been looked after and serviced they are a great little car my wife loves hers but I love my JK better lol , oh and if its the Diesel dont bother if they havent been looked after they are a Handgrenade with the pin pulled .
