not from winching from snatching id hardly say ud get enough stretch out of it?

Maaaaaaate I agree
using the tow ball to snatch of is madness - I use Dyneema Rope! (Low stretch)
If the towball came off I doubt it would slingshot into my Jeep, I think towing a big caravan would put more strain on it than I did - but I take your point, and it did cross my mind as I hooked it up.....

Next trip we'll be looking for a bogged semi-trailer or a freight train.

Yeah it was pretty simple.. had to give it some berries to get it to start rolling the bumps it was stuck on..
because it was just a single bogie it didnt take much for itto loose traction.

And no the snatch was prolly not rated to the weight of the coach. but i deffinately wasnt towing anywhere near that load.. just through alot of mud at him.

was good fun.

A coach like that usually weighs between 11 and 14 ton..
