For a really good day trip (all day) a run up the Noosa North shore to Rainbow beach, cut across the Leisha track to Rainbow beach bay, if the beach is up to it you can then run along that beach all the way to Rainbow township for lunch. Then head approx 10.5km south out of Rainbow on the tarmac and turn left onto the Kings Bore track for an 18 - 22 km run (depends on east or west track) back down to the Noosa North Shore beach then run back down to Noosa heads.

A month or two ago we went up the other way, heading up the Cooloola way to Rainbow then back down the beach to Noosa.

Its a nice day, pretty easy running mostly though we had a few deep water holes and off-track diversions on the Cooloola way due to heavy rain. Next best thing to doing Fraser Island.

I am heading up to Duck Creek Road on Saturday (the 10th). It's dead easy, with some great views. You end up at O'Reilleys, where there's a bit to see and do as well. I'm planning a quick early lunch when I get there. Might have a few other forum members coming along too.

Meeting between 9.30 and 10 at the turnoff to Duck Creek Road on Kerry Road (south of Beaudesert) in my new, and soon not-to-be-very-shiny black JK.

It's not a million miles from Scenic Rim 4x4 park either if you want to head off afterwards.
