Default Extractors or Headers for 3.8 ltr Wrangler

As the title suggests, is there anyone in Oz that makes these

Available out of the States but cannot seem to get a reasonable freight deal

I have these:

Not made in Oz but shipped to me in South Africa for not too much money using a u.s freight forwarded. A less than half the price of ripp, borla etc and although i dont have dyno proof they have definitely moved the torque curve down a bit for me making hills easier for the 3.8. I am boostec also and the headers came about a year after the blower. Bolted straight up (rhd like you) and been in for 35000 ks with no cracks or issues. I had them ceramic coated locally which turned out not so well as the coating is coming off in places. A custom tune will be needed to get the best out of them.

They definitely pump up the heat under the bonnet so I would strongly recommend bonnet vents and having them professionally heat wrapped with the best quality header wrap you can get before you install them. Afterwards is very difficult. Cheers

Remember: You need the heat shields back on whichever headers you end up getting. Otherwise you start melting things. Not just the exposed plastic, but people have seen even the hi-temp plug leads & their heat socks damaged when heat shields weren't installed.

You will never get the heat shields back on long tubes. Maybe on some shorty designs though. Personally I can't see the point of short tube headers. The factory design is exactly this just cast iron. Sure inside its not super smooth so there will be some more turbulence but swapping out factory short tubes for aftermarket will probably net you nothing.

The ultimate for the 3.8 platform are the ripp headers but big bucks.

Anyway the heat comment is correct. I ceramic coated mine then heat wrapped after they were in place which proved impossible. I have not melted anything but I do have temp socks on the top of the plugs.

Good luck.

I got them back on mine.

It took some cutting & trimming but they went on. (The instructions did mention this.)

Yes, the RIPP instructions state it is important to reinstall them. I also had them ceramic coated before I put them on.
