Thanks again for the info Drover.

Will be taking the Jeep to a suspension guy to do the springs, I’m getting a bit too old to do them myself. And it’ll need a wheel alignment after so I’ll just get them to do the lot. I’ve used these guys before for suspension and wheel alignment work and they’re really good and very reasonably priced as well.

I see that Gabriel make a shock for the WK2, they were a good brand back in the day, wonder if they’re still a quality shock or have they fallen victim to the “China Syndrome”?

Has anyone ever used “Gabriel’s” on their Jeep or other vehicles, and if so what’s your impression of them?

Just like you Liamray...I had used them in days gone by...on a HT Holden from memory ???....Product was pretty good back then...unknown quantity nowadays...a decent suspension shop should be able to give a truthful answer...may even recommend an alternate brand....VERY hard to escape ''Chinesism' nowadys....majority of brands arent Chinese are but are made in there to cut production costs....dont fall the 'its a (nation of company) brand so its made better'....they outsource...new word developed in the '90's to make rich people richer...jus sayin....you could always give the two most recommend WK2 Workshops a call and speak with genuine experts...Jeeps'r'Us in Coffs Harbour NSW and All Grand Cherokee in Springvale Vic....both are owned n operated by Wizards...both have excellent reports...if they dont know, it doesnt exist....GOOD LUCK !

Thanks Farwest, I’ll give the experts a call as you suggested.
I’ve found a pair of “Monroe” Strut / Coil Assemblies in the US, but they don’t have the “Export Model” listed as a model for fitment.
I know that the 2012 US Grand Cherokee Limited 3.6lt & 5.7lt has the same Springs and shocks as mine, as I found the OEM part number on my springs and shocks and they match the US model, also they are the same OEM Part number as the 2014 GC Limited 3.0crd. So I’m hoping that the “Monroe” Strut Assemblies that are listed for those two models will fit mine.
Maybe the experts at the 2 shops you listed can tell me.
