The high pressure pumps have 3 caps with a riser that goes from the main body up to the cap and there are two o-rings on each of these three risers. They can fail and can leak initially but will then take up and build pressure. Check to see if you can see or smell fuel in and around the HP pump.

If you do this could be the issue and if it is there is a seal kit you can purchase to fix the problem too. It could still be another issue but if it's pressure related I'd expect to see a P1130 code.

Default Starting issue

I have realised and analysed the vehicles' behaviour in respect to the issue.
If I have my foot on the accelerator and when the car sis cranked to increase the revs the issue is not present after a few seconds of keeping the revs up.
But when I crank it and let it idle on its own then it might stall.
Realised on the highway on 100 kmph cruise no issues for 100s of kms but it surged at around 120/130 kmph accelerating while overtaking ( just did it once)
So I will let the diesel specialist know and to check the pump and fix the issue if it is as they are Bosch dealers too
Any other sensors or parts in the car needs to be replaced as a consumable item at 200k?

At around 200k the injectors are likely to be problematic. One or two of mine failed at 195k, the car was running well and then all of a sudden just stopped and refused to start. It ended up being a high fuel return volume that would tell the fuel pressure regulator to shut fuel supply down.

CRDs are great when they're running but when parts start to fail they cause all sorts of problems and can be bloody expensive to fix.

Default Runs like a butterfly

After diagnosis by Wimmera diesel.
Found that the fuel pressure regulator was on its way out.
Changed that and a few O rings on the fuel tubing and the Jeep is back in business.
Runs like a butterfly.
Everything has been checked and should be good for another 100k kms ( recommended to change fuel filter at around the 40 K mark as it takes a while for the paper element to bed in etc and oil and oil filter every 10k kms.
Happy times and off soon on a 5 K km trip to Alice Springs and back.
