is there any way this can be fixed helicoiled?
or is a replacement sump necessary
anyone tried one of those ecoplugs?

should be repairable in situ with a helicoil or timesert,
do you know what the plug thread size is?
most engineering supply places have a thread gauge

otherwise, I have heard of dudes epoxy them in place and use a "universal" smaller drain plug, designed especially for fkd-up drain plugholes

then again, a used sump would probably be <$50

You could always recut to the next sized thread and get an oversized drain plug that used to be the most common solution...
