Question Cruise control how hard to convert?

Hi I haven't been on here for a while wich is probably a good thing because it means my oil burner has been behaving itself.

I have a question.

Is there much involved in transferring cruise control from a donor xj?

I asked about this a few years ago. You need to install the switches on the steering wheel. The clock spring connection should be there. Then the program on the ECU needs to be turned on, ~ a trip to a good dealer that knows what they are doing ~ good luck with that.

The clockspring needs to come from the donor.

Good in theory Jimmyb, problem is there are several different computers & they are not interchangeable. it would be a PITA to remove the computer, its up against the firewall behind the heater stuff.
