You could run two wires through the fire wall a single run of 7amp figure 8 wire is physically quite small.
Or better still just run one wire from the relay ( under the bonnet) to the switch then to earth in the cab. Still one wire going through the fire wall.
So you are switching the -ve side of the relay control circuit rather than the +ve side, which is coming from the high beam on the h4 socket.
Ask your auto sparky mate about it.
Ok you guys are talking me around. I don't like hacking into the factory wiring so this may be a better option. Have never thought of switching the negative side. I think that's how hilux's work isn't it? Yeah I will give my mate a buzz tomorrow and pick his brain...again I've got everything else run for now

Thanks for the offer mate, but I'm a DIY kinda guy plus I have everything here I need for the driving lights and most of the headlight upgrade but just thought I'd double check the wire and now a whole new world is opening up.

I think you need to provide more support to light beams. Use of aluminum beams will be more effective and provide positive results in that case.

How does this relate to headlight wiring?

There is a very cheap tool called a test light. Not more than 5 minutes work probing the wires and you would have it sorted by now.
