OK heres the go as per the link yuo supplied but i would do the following
i would use a 3.25 mm ni fe nickel iron type weld electrode at around 110 amps
set the welder on straight polarity that is for this proccess negitive electrode is used this will give a shallower type weld so as not to induce cracking
make sure the item is preheated to remove the chill and moisture
use flame or heat gun
do short type weld passes and pein each pass to stress releive with a small ball pein hammer
then file down to shape.

Won't be doing this for a couple of weeks, but I'm planning on putting on new pads and rotors, and wasn't sure if I should be budgetting for new knuckles as well. Will let you know how it turns out.

As posted elsewhere Muzz, can you weld D30/D44 pumpkins to the axleshfts successfully/safely?

Up hill/down hill welding?

Up or down? what techique?

I have found down hill works better for me, but i heard it doesnt give as good penetration as going up hill? I find it too hard to control the pool going up hill


any tips muzz?
